There is no question that we as a community, nation, and world are experiencing unprecedented times. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the YWCA has been navigating the guidance or directives offered by government officials, as well as best practice recommendations provided by medical experts and most importantly prioritizing the health and wellbeing of our members.
Your health and wellbeing have always been our priority. As has been responding to the needs of our community.
Though we have had to close our pool and fitness center, we are currently offering emergency childcare essential to community members such as medical personnel, first responders and essential staff who continue to go to work on our behalf. We also continue to provide services and support to victims of domestic violence, many of whom face greater danger as they shelter in place in response to COVID-19. Our staff continues to maintain regular contact with all our program participants to help connect the vulnerable families we serve with support and resources as needed.
Today, I’m asking you to stand with the YWCA Central Massachusetts as we respond to the COVID-19 crisis. We are offering 2 options.
1. Yes! I want to support the YWCA in responding to community needs during this pandemic.
By continuing to pay your monthly fitness dues, you are ensuring we can continue offering emergency childcare essential to community members as well as the other critical services we provide.
Your monthly fitness dues will become charitable donations to the YWCA. You do not have to do anything. We will continue to deduct your monthly dues and put them directly towards the services we are currently providing. We will send a gift acknowledgment for tax purposes.
2. I love the YWCA and I look forward to coming back soon!
You can put your fitness membership on hold. We want you back as soon as this crisis is over. In the meantime, we will stop your monthly dues deductions for as long as our pool and fitness center is closed. If you choose to do this, please complete and submit the form below. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Please respond by 5:00 p.m. March 31st. In absence of a response, we will continue to deduct your monthly membership and put it towards the essential services we are providing.
