YWCA SEEKS NOMINATIONS FOR THE KATHARINE F. ERSKINE AWARD
The Non-Profit Calls on the Public to Recognize Women Leadership in the Community
Worcester, MA –– YWCA Central Massachusetts is on a mission to recognize female leadership in Central Massachusetts. The women-led organization seeks nominations for the 2020 Katharine F. Erskine Award.
The prestigious award recognizes women who have demonstrated leadership and reached exemplary levels of achievement in their professions and communities. Those selected embody the YWCA’s mission and display a strong commitment to the elimination of racism, empowerment of women, and promotion of peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
Award Criteria:
- Distinctive achievement and service in her current field
- Service to community with a demonstrated commitment to social and racial equality
- Demonstrated commitment to serving as a role model for women and girls
- Must live and/or work in Central Massachusetts
The award categories are as follows: Arts and Culture; Business and Law; Community, Social Service and Government; Education; and Health, Science and Technology.
Nominations will be accepted through February 29, 2020.
Award recipients will be recognized at the 26th annual Tribute to Women Luncheon to be held on May 5, 2020 at Mechanics Hall.
