When you fundraise or purchase tickets for YWCA’s Skate to End Domestic Violence, you’ll support the continued and vital actions of YWCA’s Domestic Violence Services, which provide direct support to survivors of domestic violence, as well as community education and initiatives to prevent domestic violence and promote healthy relationships.

All funds raised during this event will benefit YWCA’s BWR Program, the local domestic violence program in North Central Massachusetts.

Come and enjoy music, skating, pizza and more!

How to Fundraise
First, decide whether you want to fundraise as an individual or form a team. A team must include least two people and can have as many as 10. Team members can be co-workers, friends, roommates, teammates—anyone who likes to roller skate, have a good time and be involved in helping out a good cause. Each team member then asks individuals to sponsor her/his participation in the Skate to End Domestic Violence.

Individuals who want to participate in Skate to End Domestic Violence are encouraged to raise a minimum of $150; individual youth ages 17 and under, $50; and teams (2-10people), $1,500. You may fundraise via our Skate to End Domestic Violence FirstGiving Page, or you can collect donations on your own. Just be sure to download a Fundraiser Information Packet and Pledge Card. The packet contains vital information about the Skate to End Domestic Violence, as well as lots of great tips for meeting your fundraising goal.

Each individual registered fundraiser who raises a minimum of $150 will receive a Skate to End Domestic Violence T-Shirt! This includes within teams. Youth ages 17 and under need to raise $50 to receive the shirt. In order to be considered a registered fundraiser, you must create and receive donations via a FirstGiving fundraising page or arrive at the event with cash donations and Pledge Card in hand.

Skate rental included at no charge. All fundraisers will get 2 free slices of pizza and 1 free fountain drink. Additional refreshments will be available for purchase.

Prizes will be awarded to individuals (adults and youth) who raise the most money!

How Do I Register?
