The YWCA provides confidential, emergency shelter for individuals and families fleeing imminent danger due to domestic violence. While in shelter, participants receive crisis intervention, advocacy counseling, financial literacy, individual case management and group support. In addition to helping them meet their basic needs, Shelter Advocates work to empower the lives of survivors and their families, and assist them in rebuilding for the future.
