Girls CHOICE

Girls CHOICE is an in-depth, long-term mentoring program designed to empower at-risk middle and high school girls to achieve their aspirations through educational pursuits and financial independence.

Risky behaviors have a negative impact on a girl’s ability to grow and develop into an independent, self-sufficient woman. Research shows that when young girls achieve academic success, have significant relationships with caring adults and are involved in community service and extracurricular activities, they are less likely to engage in risky behaviors. Girls CHOICE provides a positive impact on a girl’s ability to improve her self-expectation and resilience.

Girls CHOICE offers support to middle-school girls with the assistance of community collaborations and provides them with support services throughout high school. Within this period, girls build confidence, a sense of personal and community responsibility, and education plans.

Through mentoring, academic support and case management, Girls CHOICE delivers comprehensive programming that includes:

• Long-term, one-on-one Support
• Leadership and service training
• Life skills curriculum
